  • The web application can be hosted on the webserver alone whereas the cloud application can be hosted on the web or client based server.

Another main difference is that all the cloud apps are web apps whereas all the web apps are not cloud apps. Some other points of difference are that of scalability, where the cloud apps are inherently scalable, web apps have limited scalability.

Cloud apps have a very high uptime whereas the web apps have a limited uptime.

  • Security: It is not the concern of the user anymore, because the cloud application provides a security feature over their platform.
  • Accessibility: You can access the application anytime anywhere at your convenience. Plus you can save the data from any location over the cloud.
